Help with Annorite for Mac.
Need a hand? Email support@annorite.com with what you were doing and, if you can, a screenshot. Please don't attach drawings you aren't allowed to share.
Getting started
- Open a drawing: drag PDFs, pictures, DXF drawings or a whole folder onto the window, or use File ▸ Open (⌘O). Each document opens in its own tab. DWG files need saving as DXF from your CAD program first.
- Pick a mode: Read, Annotate, Measure or Organize, at the top right.
- Organize the set: in Organize, drag sheets to reorder them, and drop files between two sheets to add them there. In Annotate, drag a markup onto another sheet to move it there.
- Set the scale from the status line, or calibrate (J) by dragging along a dimension you know and typing its length.
- Mark up with the tool rail on the left; every tool has a one-key shortcut. The Properties pane on the right styles the selected markup, or the next one you draw.
- Save (⌘S). Markups are standard PDF annotations, so the file opens anywhere.

Common questions
My markups don't show in another app. Save first (⌘S). Annorite writes standard annotations that Preview and Acrobat display; a few viewers hide annotations by default — check that viewer's settings.
A measurement looks wrong. Check the scale on the status line matches the sheet, or calibrate against a dimension you trust. Each tab keeps its own scale.
The PDF is protected. Annorite never changes a protected original. Your markups go into a separate .markups.pdf file beside it, and opening either one brings back both.
I want the app to follow my Mac's appearance. Settings (⌘,) ▸ Appearance ▸ Automatic.
